How do I get started?
Earn your 45 hour 21st Century Skills certificate with specialization in Media and Information Resources by completing at least 18 modules AND a 10-hour classroom-related project, along with a brief pre/post survey. For project details click HERE.

This certificate is offered by INFOhio in cooperation with NWOET and Ohio's EdTech agencies. While the certificate itself does not carry college credit, graduate credit IS available from partner institutions.

What is the cost?
$159 for up to 21 modules*

Certificates of professional development recognizing two hours per module are available from INFOhio in partnership with NWOET at a cost of $15.00 per module, $45 for four modules, or $159 for up to all 21 modules. 

How can I earn graduate credit?
You may receive one (1) graduate creditfrom Bowling Green State University, Ashland University or Muskingom (pending approval) for the work you complete in conjunction with your 21st Century Skills Certificate. Graduate credit cost are IN ADDITION to the $159.00 certificate fee. 

Requirements for graduate credit are identical to those of the certificate: Complete a minimum of 18 '21 Things" modules plus a classroom-related project.

You will receive a copy of the syllabus via email upon registration (including 'pre-registration') for graduate credit.

21st Century Skills Certificate* - INCLUDED for all Graduate Credit participants
In addition to graduate credit you will receive a 21st Century Skills Certificate - Specialization in Information Literacy suitable for framing. Your certificate - while NOT an official college transcript - will indicate the university through which graduate credit will be transcripted rather than a notation of hours completed

Certificates will generally be mailed 3-5 days after completion of your project

Certificate completion verification is provided at no cost by calling 800-966-9638.  A duplicate certificate listing all modules completed are available for $15.00 payable by credit card, check or purchase order by calling the above number. Same day fax or next-day UPS duplicates are available for $25.00. Availability of transcripts varies by institution.

Graduate Credit from Bowling Green State University
You will be charged the $485 TOTAL through Bowling Green State University with payment due upon registration, but no later than March 15, 2010. All work must be completed no later than April 15, 2010 for this Spring session. Your certificate will generally be mailed 5-7 days following submission of your project, with your transcript available late May 2010.

You may pay BGSU fees by credit card, by calling 800-966-9638, or by check made out to "BGSU" and sent to 21st Cent. Credit, NWOET, 245 Troup, Bowling Green, Ohio 43403. We encourage you to call the above number to confirm registration and payment information.

For Summer session credit from Bowling Green State University you will be billed approximately June 15, 2010 (pending approval). All work must be completed no later than July 15, 2010.  Your certificate will generally be mailed 5-7 days following submission of your project (providing a check or credit card has been provided), with your transcript available mid-August 2010.

Graduate Credit from Ashland
Cost is $358 TOTAL ($199.00 credit fee plus $159.00 paid to NWOET) At this time Ashland is a 'pre-registration' for the Summer 2010 term. While the syllabus IS available and you may begin work immediately, you will be emailed Ashland PAYMENT instructions early May 2010. Your certificate will generally be mailed 5-7 days following submission of your project, with your transcript available by mid-August, 2010.

Graduate Credit from Muskingom
Cost is $358 TOTAL* ($199.00 credit fee plus $159.00 paid to NWOET) At this time Muskingom is a 'pre-registration' for the Summer 2010 term. While the syllabus IS available and you may begin work immediately, you will be emailed Muskingom PAYMENT instructions early May 2010. Your certificate will generally be mailed 5-7 days following submission of your project, with your transcript available by mid-August, 2010.

*INFOhio,in cooperation with Ohio EdTech Centers, has developed the 21st Century Skills certificate program.

Regular cost of the certificate be $199, but for a limited time during this pilot phase of the '21 Things' project the cost of the certificate is just $159  including all modules, the 10 hour classroom-related project and the actual certificate mailed to your address, as well as an emailed electronic copy. Graduate fees are as noted above.
