Baler
A piece of equipment used on the farm to package wheat into tightly bound blocks of straw. The baler wraps twine around the bale of straw to keep it bundled.

Bind
To tie or secure, as with a rope or cord.

Combine
To join (two or more substances) to make a single substance, such as a chemical compound; mix.

Combine Harvesters
Large farm machine that cuts wheat, or corn, or soy beans from the field and sorts the grain from the plant.

Consumer
One that acquires goods or services for direct use or ownership rather than for resale or use in production and manufacturing.

Farmer
One who works on or operates a farm.

Harvest
The act or process of gathering a crop.

Plow
A farm implement consisting of a heavy blade at the end of a beam, usually hitched to a draft team or motor vehicle and used for breaking up soil and cutting furrows in preparation for sowing.

Producer
One that produces, especially a person or organization that produces goods or services for sale.

Reapers
One that reaps, especially a machine for harvesting grain or pulse crops.

Serve
To provide goods and services for customers (consumers).

Sow
To scatter seed for growing.

Tractor
A vehicle having a powerful gasoline or diesel motor and usually large, heavily treaded rear tires, used especially for pulling farm implements or machinery.

Seed Drill
A drill-like machine used for sowing seed.

Steam Threshing Machine
A farm machine used to separate the grains or seeds from straw and operates using steam.

Scythe Hook
An instrument for mowing grass, grain, or the like, by hand, composed of a long, curving blade, with a sharp edge, made fast to a long handle, called a snath, which is bent into a form convenient for use.

Thresh
To beat the stems and husks of (grain or cereal plants) with a machine or flail to separate the grains or seeds from the straw.

Thresher
A piece of equipment used to separate the grains or seeds from the straw.

Wooden Drag Rake
A long-handled implement with a row of projecting teeth at its head, made of wood and dragged behind a tractor.
