How to Make a Teddy Bear

Supplies - The supplies needed to make a teddy bear:

• Body:  Fur for teddy bears can be wool, mohair, alpaca, synthetic, viscose or cotton. They need to be pile fabrics (furry). Pick the color.

• Paws:  Paws for a teddy bear can be made from felt, velvet, suede, or ultrasuede. The color should compliment the color of the body fur.

• Stuffing:  Polyester stuffing is the easiest to work with and softest. A teddy bear can also be stuffed with beads or beans for a bean bag type bear.

• Eyes:  Buttons or beads can be used for the eyes and are easy to attach.

• Nose:  Noses can be sewn/embroidered on or a button can be used for the nose.

• Mouth:  A dark thread, like embroidery thread, is good for the mouth.
